The Drug Delivery to the Lungs (DDL) conference and exhibition is staged at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC). The event, staged annually by the Aerosol Society, is Europe’s premier forum dedicated to pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. It grows year-on-year and attracts more than 800 industry and academic professionals and 110 exhibitors from across the globe each year.  

Alongside the three-day programme of lectures is an industry exhibition with more than 100 pharmaceutical and related exhibitors.  

We have extensive experience of working with events in the medical and health sector. We have worked at the EICC on a regular basis over the last fifteen years and were introduced to the Aerosol Society by the venue. We completed our first DDL show in 2017 and have subsequently been reappointed annually. 


Organised by volunteers drawn from both academia and industry, the Aerosol Society’s aim is to provide an interesting, high
quality and varied programme that promotes, through podium and poster presentations and exhibitions, recent developments in the field of inhalation therapy.

Our brief was to deliver the industry exhibition and inhalation science poster exhibition elements of this successful forum for networking and knowledge exchange. In 2019 we were asked to create a more open feel to the poster presentation area and additional signage.


Using our experience of previous shows, we produced and developed a floorplan layout for the EICC’s Lennox Suite, Moffat and Lammermuir Rooms.

Over a two-day build programme, we supplied a range of organiser and exhibitor services including modular shell scheme stand fitting, illuminated fascia graphics, lighting and power packages, poster boards and bespoke exhibitor graphics and furniture as required.

To ease accessibility and encourage engagement, we redesigned and manufactured new poster boards, as well as creating additional organiser signs and large format wayfinding signposting in the public area.

In total we supplied 683m2 of modular shell scheme, 114 lighting/power packages, 88 poster boards and 500+m2 of wall graphics.        

Working closely with the venue, we delivered all required health and safety and local authority compliance.   


We are proud to contribute to DDL’s success by delivering an excellent product matched by expert and friendly services to organisers and exhibitors, on time and on budget.

A 15% increase in bespoke graphics that we produced for exhibitors’ stands added to the overall professional look and feel of the show.
