Expertise, knowledge and a safe pair of hands were just three of the reasons why we were appointed to provide event services for the launch show of MIPIM UK 2014.
The UK-wide property trade show, held at London Olympia in October 2014, provided the first forum of its kind for professionals looking to close deals across all major sectors of the UK property market.
Ahead of the event, leading city administrators from around the UK welcomed the opportunity to showcase their constituencies and discuss future development plans at the event.
Among the city leaders to support the launch of MIPIM UK was the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. He officially opened the event and delivered a keynote address about the convergence between London and the rest of the country.
This was the first show of its kind in the UK, following MIPIM’s established annual event in Cannes France. Organiser Reed Midem’s objective was to establish a reputation for the London show as the event for property market players and international investors.
To make the launch event a success, it was especially important to appoint an event services company which the organiser could trust to create innovative designs within a short time scale and in some cases within tight space restrictions. The look and feel of the show had to match the high quality, scale and presence of the Cannes event and meet the expectations of the industry leaders attending. This required close attention to detail and a high skill set. Together with the overall brief, our design team was given the task of producing a Business Showcase design – a modular, open but closed feature that had to be built in a few hours as it was in front of the main delivery doors.
We provided a range of quality products, backed up by a comprehensive service to meet the high expectations of the show. We had previously worked with both operations manager Emma Dengate and Reed Exhibitions and so we were comfortable with their methods of working.
Our management team worked closely with the organiser, exhibitors and the venue in order to meet the organiser’s objectives.
We delivered traditional and modular shell schemes, fascia graphics, illuminated signs, electrical services, bespoke design and the build of seminar theatres and hospitality suites.
A mixture of standard components and purpose-made features were created by our designers. For the Business Showcase, the team produced a design that was practical, stylish and innovative. These innovative designs were realised by our manufacturing and on-site installation teams and the different areas were delivered on time, while exceeding the client’s expectations.
The three day event was attended by over 4,000 delegates, including more than 500 investors over three days.
